what is comms2point0 and what does it do?

comms2point0 exists to champion, promote and deliver the very best in emerging and established communications thinking.

we work with organisations to improve their communications performance and with people to build their personal knowledge, confidence and skills.

we create and deliver specialist creative communications services, including

  • strategic consultancy and support
  • communications reviews
  • campaign development and management
  • bespoke training and development
  • interim solutions
  • mentoring for communications professionals
  • events including skills workshops and masterclasses
  • facilitation at communications industry events

we also created the unique UnAwards, celebrating the best in creative communications, marketing, PR and digital plus CommsCamp - the UK's largest unconference for communicators.

we've completed multiple communications and digital reviews, for a range of irganisations including large local authorities and a social media review of seven local authorities in the South West which has led to 24 of our recommendations being approved for delivery.

we've also created 'Digital Councils' on behalf of the Local Government Association, for Health and Wellbeing Boards, as well as a download for the LGA on social media use.

we have advised and trained more than a dozen organisations across local government and the wider public sector as well as the European Union and Public Health Wales, plus private sector organisations such as Punch Taverns and Capacity Grid.

we produced the Best by West Midlands whitepaper which mapped the region’s social media best practice in local government and this year we were nominated as one of the top 100 UK digital leaders by Digital by Default.

in October 2014 we were asked by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to deliver and facilitate their annual two day Middle East and North Africa communications conference in Jordan.

when leading local government communications team, we were one of the first 100 councils in the world to use Twitter and have used it extensively since  2008.

We have a deep understanding of how and where social media fits into the operations of a large customer-facing organisation. we also won the inaugural LGcomms best social media campaign award in 2011 for our #Walsall24 campaign - we were the first UK local authority to run a 24-hour twitter-fon highlighting the 700 services the council delivered.
